Since 1972, Porsche Design has brought the same uncompromising philosophy that shapes every vehicle to the art of watchmaking. Each timepiece is assembled by hand in Porsche's own Swiss manufactory, powered by an in-house caliber that meets the most demanding chronometric standards on earth. These are not fashion accessories bearing a logo. They are mechanical instruments forged from the same obsession with performance, materials, and design that built the 911.

The World's First All-Black Chronograph - Since 1972
In 1972, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche — the visionary behind the legendary 911 — created something the watch industry had never seen. Inspired by the cockpit instruments of Porsche's finest machines, the Chronograph 1 didn't enter the market. It redefined it.
Today, every Porsche Design timepiece is handcrafted in Porsche's own watch manufactory in Solothurn, Switzerland — where automotive engineering precision fuses with centuries of Swiss horological tradition.

The Movement Behind the Legend
At the heart of every timepiece beats the Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.240 — an in-house movement with COSC certification, guaranteeing precision within -4/+6 seconds per day. An elite distinction held by less than 5% of Swiss watches produced annually.
The instant flyback chronograph resets and restarts in a single press — measuring consecutive lap times just as the circuit demands. Ultra-light titanium cases, finished in glass-bead blasted silver or signature black titanium carbide, are protected by sevenfold anti-reflective sapphire crystal on both sides.

In keeping with that, the Sport Chrono Collection brings that sports car feeling to your wrist. The Sport Chrono Subsecond is equipped with the Porsche Design movement WERK 03.200, which features a display of the running second at 6 o'clock.

The new Porsche Design Sport Chrono Collection, in the tradition of the Chronograph I, translates minimalist design to the wearer's wrist. The wearer also decides how their watch model incorporates the vehicle design and brings it to the wrist: as a subsecond chronometer or as a chronometer with chronograph function.

Owners of GT models, special models or Exclusive Manufaktur models can have their personal Porsche Design Chronograph exclusively manufactured to match their sports car.
The individual and unmistakable features of the respective Porsche model are incorporated and transferred to the design, materials and color scheme of the chronograph. The watches are strictly limited to the number of vehicles produced and are manufactured in the in-house factory according to customer orders.
